Bodog Fight – Hard-Hitting Entertainment
Founded in 2006, Bodog Fight marked the foray of digital entertainment giant Bodog Entertainment into the world of professional mixed martial arts (MMA) and reality television.
The first season of Bodog Fight took place in Costa Rica, featuring 16 American fighters engaging in eight incredible bouts of MMA action. The series was featured on Men�s Outdoor and Recreation on the DISH Network, and has subsequently been broadcast on The Fight Network and online at Bodog Fight.
The eight winners from Season 1 from Costa Rica were pitted against members of famed Russian Red Devils team in a pay-per-view extravaganza live from the Pacific National Exhibition Agrodome in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on December 2, 2006. This marked a major step forward for Bodog TV production, offering its customers a live pay-per-view event available throughout North America for the first time in company history.
Hot on the heels of the successful PPV event, Bodog Fight began filming for its second season in St. Petersburg, Russia. The St. Petersburg series features some of the world’s greatest MMA fighters in a powerful lifestyle and fighting showcase with American and World competitors hungry for a victory � a victory which earns a return trip to Russia for a coveted bout on the series pay per view finale. The field of Americans will be whittled to the elite victors forging Team USA, while the World competitors will square off in battles of their own to chisel an equally-fierce World team roster. This project truly represents a worldwide arrangement of athletes with fighters from the United States, Canada, Sweden, Brazil, Bulgaria, Russia, Palestine and France. The second season went to air in February, 2007.
